MoleMapCDŽ Technology

Physician Introduction

MoleMapCD technology is the first comprehensive baseline system for melanoma that combines total body photography and sophisticated, yet easy-to-navigate software. MoleMapCD is unlike any other tool available to physicians today. Instead of focusing on a single mole, it provides a total record of a patient's skin, 35 images in all, to be used as a basis of comparison when troubling lesions are found. The high resolution of the images and the ability to zoom in on a specific body part make it an invaluable tool when examining suspicious lesions.

But there is more to MoleMapCD than the CD itself. All you do is write the referral. DigitalDerm maintains a network of approved medical photographers who do the photography in the controlled environment of a professional studio. DigitalDerm formats the images into a standardized record on CD-ROM and provides the finished product to your practice.

When you use the mole map CD system, there is nothing for you to buy. You no longer have to dedicate the time, staff or space to take photos on your own. It is handled by DigitalDerm in a professional, accurate and standardized manner.

MoleMapCD technology was developed by DigitalDerm, Inc. in conjunction with the Duke University Comprehensive Cancer Center and has been used successfully by dermatologists at Duke for more than a decade.
